Jo Blaq’s Story
One of the founding members of ‘The Platinums’, Jo brings an exciting energy to the stage. He embodies the perfect mix of the smooth voices of classic soul singers such as Sam Cooke, Ray Charles and Marvin Gaye with the energy and power of modern day artists such as Cee Lo Green and Pharrell Williams.
Over the years Jo has performed at the Australian Indigenous Music Awards, guitar and vocals on TVS program ‘Angle TV’ and has continued to host a radio show ‘Skid Row Radio’ on Fijian Community Radio. He has also supported acts such as Earth Boy and Hermitude as well as performing at some of Sydney’s prime live music venues including the Basement, The Annandale Hotel and Restaurant Hubert.
